House Kourta

Mr Nouredine Kourta commissioned Studio Colin Polwarth to set in motion alterations and additions to complete his luxury home over an extended period. Recent modifications include improved access to the cellar, a new feature baluster for the modified staircase, additional feature safety systems for the upper balcony, an upgrade to the kitchen and outdoor storage systems.

Future alterations and additions include a dormer window in the street front roof for ventilation for a new slipper bathroom in the attic. The relocation of existing previously relocated heritage stairs to the attic will make the second bedroom function optimally, an external pergola for the rear balcony and new air-conditioning system discretely included in the Victorian terrace will minimize visual and environmental impacts.
